The child of two fey-sworn warlocks. Elakiam never knew his parents because they were killed by the crusaders while he was only a few days old. Unable to find a reverent home for him, his parents killers brought him back to the monastery. The priests took pity on him and began training him as an altar boy, on the path to become a priest some day. Elakiam was mocked and scorned by both old and young in the monestary. His race and background marked him out as different and untrustworthy. He worked tirelessly to prove his detractors wrong but had no skill in the jobs of a priest.
As Elakiam came of age he was assigned to the service of the priest Tiras. Tiras quickly discovered that the boy lacked in brains, but had abundant devout and nimbleness. Knowing that he lacked the knowledge and oratory abilities to be a priest and the brute strength and endurance to be a true soldier, Tiras thought up a better use for him and his powerful drive.
Tiras rounded out Elakiam’s education, having him learn at the feet of priests, soldiers and scouts alike. Eventually he crafted Elakiam into a unwavering weapon. Someone who could be counted on to deliver swift justice to the church’s enemies without a sound, hesitation or doubt.
Elakiam is not all business, however. When he gets a spare moment between praying and his martial duties he enjoys taking great care in his appearance and hygiene. Elakiam tends to wear fine clothes and bathe himself in exotic oils and extracts. Some in the order have accused him of vanity or even womanly behavior, although his abilities tend to shut them up.
In addition to his religious oaths and laws, he has two personal creedos: 1) Always strike true. 2) No one gets away.
